Paul Assenmacher went 3 strong innings in relief at Coors Field as the Chicago Cubs beat the Colorado Rockies by the count of 3 to 2.

After the Cubs overcame a 2-0 deficit in the seventh on a Ron Santo two tun homer, Chicago scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th inning. Derrek Lee
lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' to snap the 2-2 tie. Chicago banged out 7 hits on the night.
