The Indianapolis ABC's edged the Oakland Athletics in 11 innings at Oakland Co. Stadium by the score of 4 to 3.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings, thanks to ninth inning homeruns by Tubby Scales and Buck Leonard off closer Dennis Eckersley. Indianapolis won it in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Turkey Stearnes tripled. Rap Dixon followed, but he was set down on strikes. Buck Leonard then drew a walk. Judy Johnson came up and he delivered a base-hit to left, giving the ABC's the lead. The Oakland batters went down in order in the bottom of the 11th.

Rube Foster(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Jose
Mendez was credited with his 2nd save. The loss was charged to Andrew
Bailey(0-1) in relief.
