Eric Byrnes slammed 2 homeruns as the Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Los
Angeles Dodgers by a score of 7 to 5 at Dodger Stadium.

The Los Angeles fans didn't appreciate the big day Byrnes had. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 3rd inning and delivered a one-base hit in the 4th inning. Los Angeles made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.

The win was credited to Omar Daal(1-0) who went 7 innings allowing 5 runs.
Byung-Hyun Kim recorded the save, his 3rd. Don Newcombe(0-1) took the loss. He allowed 4 homeruns in 6 innings of work.
